The Purple Flutterby

I know nothing of the world of computers...I barely managed to set up this blog. We'll just have to wait and see what happens.

Goodbye!

I'm leaving the country. I'm going with my church on a missions trip to Mexico and we're leaving bright and early tomorrow morning. Unfortunately for all you readers, that means I won't be blogging for quite some time. Last time I was there (two years ago), I couldn't even find a newspaper...in English or in Spanish. I was deprived of all current events for nearly a week. But I got over it.

After two years, I'm finally going back to Mexico. As I was telling a fellow team member, who knew going to bed late and waking up really early on uncomfortable mattresses in unairconditioned dorms to build houses in 90+ degree heat all day long (and then do it all over again) would be so much fun. I'm so excited!!

I'll tell you all of my stories when I return, don't worry!

ADIOS!!

And you're getting to stop in San Antonio on the way!!

You won't read this until you get home though.

It's so cool you and Emily are getting to take this trip with your folks too.

I'm so looking forward to seeing all of you and then going home to my air conditioned home :)

    Love,
    Unce M (in S.A.)

Welcome home! It was good to see you, if only in passing. Sorry to hear you erped your way to Padre...

3 weeks and then we can sit on the porch and you can tell me stories...I won't be able to follow them of course but it'll be fun :)

    love,

    Uncle M

Actually, it was after South Padre, on the way to San Antonio. The only things I had eaten that day was an ice cream cone at 11 AM and 2/3 of a hamburger after leaving South Padre. With the other 1/3, I said, "Does anyone want this?" It was snatched out of my hand before I finished my question. Two of my friends shared and it was gone within 30 seconds.

Hey, it wouldn't be a road trip if Sarai didn't throw up in the car.

No newspapers? How can you play "Guess Who's Dead?" without a newspaper???

Two of the frontrunners for this year's GWD Games passed away last week. But Uncle Mike has a good list of possibilities.
