The Purple Flutterby

I know nothing of the world of computers...I barely managed to set up this blog. We'll just have to wait and see what happens.

Changes

One day old and things are already changing. Since Purple Flutterby was my address, I decided to change that to the title as well. Also, I couldn't find a purple template, and pink was as close as I could get.

So why did I choose "The Purple Flutterby"? Number one, saraiwayne.blogspot and purplebutterfly.blogspot were already taken. (Sarai Wayne is such a popular name these days.) Number two, purple is my favorite color. Pretty much my entire bedroom is purple: walls, bedding, CD player, etc. Almost all of my clothes are purple. Even the Glorious Appearing was a purple hardback with purple tinted paper. Number three, I am a member of the Chrysalis/Journey/Emmaus community. If you know what that is, then you know why I like butterflies. If you don't, I'm sorry, but Chrysalis/Journey/Emmaus is pretty much unexplainable. The best I can do is say it's a 72-hour retreat where you get close to God, meet new people and new friends, and eat food until you can eat no more. And then you have a snack. Chrysalis is for high school, Journey is for college, and Emmaus is for adults. Going on Chrysalis was one of the best things that has ever happened to me. As you can see, I highly recommend it.

As often happens when I write, I get off on rabbit trails and forget what I was first talking about. It looks like that's what happened here. Don't say I didn't warn you!

Finally...

Well, I did it. I've been contemplating this for months, and finally decided to start a blog. I like to write and it's no fun to write things that no one reads...so here I am. Probably the only person who will read this will be my Nutso Uncle, but that's ok. I don't know how to put in pictures, set up comments, or anything like that, but that's ok too. I like to tell really really long stories that most often end up having no point (or so my uncle tells me), so that's probably most of what you'll be reading. Here I go, into the world of "cyberspace." I wonder what will happen next.

"Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, 'Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?'
And I said, 'Here am I. Send me!'"
Isaiah 6:8
